Important Stipulations

Facility use requests from staff or members must be for their own personal use. Requests on behalf of non-members or any outside group are not permitted.

Other than weddings, all events must take place within CHBC building hours:

  • Monday thru Thursday 9 am – 9 pm;
  • Friday 9 am – 2:30 pm and 6:45 – 10 pm;
  • Saturday 9 am – 12 pm.

This includes set-up and clean-up time. These hours are dependent on our own building use. If we are going to be closed, or are closing early, then we will not schedule your event.

  • Calendar Availability

    If you want to check the calendar for availability before you submit a request, please check the church calendar.

    NOTE: This calendar is not comprehensive, but will give you an idea of major facilities uses that are planned. Do not assume that your dates are going to be OK based on checking this calendar. You will still need to request space and have it confirmed through the normal process.

  • Read/Accept Facility Use Guidelines

    To help serve all that use this facility, we ask you to comply with our facility guidelines.

    • All events need to fall within Building Hours due to the requirement of a Building Attendant to be present. All events are contingent upon having a Building Attendant. If the scheduled Building Attendant is not able to work their shift, the Facilities Team will attempt to find a replacement in the Building Attendant pool. These are people who have been building trained and can act as a Building Attendant. However, if no replacement is available, the event cannot happen.
    • An event is responsible for their own trash and it must be taken outside to the dumpster after an event. Nothing can be affixed to the walls during the event.
    • All events held must comply with all applicable local, county, and state fire codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements, as well as all facility policies and requirements. If children are involved or are attending, they must be under direct supervision at all times.
    • Facilities reserves the right to cancel an event or require it to be moved due to emergency situations, adverse weather conditions, building conditions, or lack of Building Attendant.
    • Any individual or group that has booked the church for a fee will receive a refund if they request a cancellation of their event, or if the event is canceled by Facilities.
    • Any damage to or destruction of church property shall be the financial responsibility of the individual or group responsible and must be remedied through repair or replacement to the satisfaction of the Facilities Manager. Repeated violations of this policy, failure to comply with safety or use requirements, or any conduct deemed harmful to church property or operations may result in temporary or permanent suspension of facility use privileges. Decisions regarding permanent suspension shall be made by the Facilities Manager in consultation with the Resource Deacons.
  • More Info

    This is only a request, not a contract or guarantee on dates or times. Facilities will be the only entity from CHBC that communicates with you about building use.
