The Michaels found a church called "Capilla Biblica" (Bible Chapel) in 1985 in the city of Duitama, Colombia.  Gary spends much of his time in pastoral counseling, prayer, and Sunday preaching.  Besides Sunday morning meetings, there are weekly Tuesday afternoon women's meeting, Wednesday night prayer and Bible study, Friday night home Bible study groups, and more. The church is also involved in an evangelistic outreach in a poor neighborhood on Saturday afternoons.
