Questscope is dedicated to equipping at-risk youth and young women in the Middle East with the educational, occupational, social and personal resources they need to overcome poverty, abuse and injustice and become productive and compassionate citizens. They are equally dedicated to expanding the vision and strengthening the capacity of communities and institutions to recognize and meet the needs of the "at-risk" living among them. Questscope serves the impoverished and marginalized members of society: dropouts, working children, juvenile offenders, victims of violence, and low-income women. They recently expanded our programs to Iraqi children who have been displaced to Jordan. Questscope's main programs are mentoring/volunteerism, non-formal/informal education, women-led initiatives, restorative justice, and Iraqi children initiatives. Questscope has been able to discover and cultivate an extremely powerful dynamic for change called the ProSocial model for social development. They are able to stimulate positive, individual change and create supportive, positive/institutional policy change on behalf of individuals and communities. And this among some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Middle East. |
