Learning more: Let us roll out the
Welcome Mat!
Our community is one that is characterized by lots of "coming & going"— for
school, for jobs, or simply for a change. If you're looking to connect
within a new church home here at the Bible Church, we would love to help
you! We have
several events & resources that are designed to help with "finding
a place" for newer people in our fellowship. Consider these options,
and watch the bulletin for
more details:
- Welcome Center: Welcome Center: Every Sunday morning, we have folks available for conversation & assistance in the Welcome Center at the back of the auditorium. You may have gone there on your first Sunday at the Bible Church to be greeted with our tasty welcome bread, but the hospitable folks are always ready to answer any questions you may have on any Sunday. Drop by after a service to meet some folks!
- Information Desk: Got a quick question? Need a brochure to describe
a ministry in which you may be interested? Looking for a map to help
you learn your
way around our large facility? The ministry team at the Info Desk in
the foyer seeks to provide answers, resources, and assistance. If they
don't
know the answer to your question, they'll find out!
- Suppers of Six: Make new friends & eat great food! Meet & connect
with other CHBCers over supper 3 times during each semester. Sign-ups
take place during the beginning of each semester. Sometimes long-lasting
friendships
result from an initial commitment of sharing three supper together!
- Newcomers' Lunch: These "almost monthly" informal gatherings
over lunch are your opportunity to meet staff, "veteran" CHBCers,
and other newcomers to the church. We'll share food & fellowship,
and give some points of contact and connection within the church. Questions
welcomed!
