Pregnancy Support Services

Pregnancy Support Services is a Christian nonprofit ministry dedicated to the preservation of life. All of our services are free and confidential. We provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support to women as they are facing the challenges of unplanned pregnancy. We also provide abstinence education and post abortion support. We are available to share the love of Christ with those at a sensitive time in their lives.

Opportunities for volunteer involvement include the following:

· Be a peer counselor or receptionist (great need for both Spanish and English counselors)

· Be a prayer supporter

· Organize donated clothing and supplies

· Assist with parenting workshops

· Be a Mentor Mom

· Design brochures

· Bring a meal to a new mother

· Assist with fundraising events

· Host a baby shower

· Be a financial supporter (This ministry is funded solely by contributions from individuals and churches)

· Donate new and used baby items

· Donate office supplies

We have offices in Durham near South Square Mall and in Chapel Hill on Franklin Street. We also have ministry outreach on the NCCU and UNC campuses.


In promoting the sanctity of human life, PSS extends compassion to women, allowing them to face their challenges with dignity.

As you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:40)

This ministry was started in 1983 and is approaching its 20th year in serving this area.
