High Adventure -- Pioneer Clubs

The purpose of the Pioneer Clubs is to help children put Christ in every aspect of life by recognizing Him as Savior and Lord and developing a lifestyle based on biblical values. To provide godly role models who help girls see their God-given talents. To provide a connection between the church and the community. The Pioneer Clubs’ scouting program is open to anyone.

The leader is Vickie Turner. Vickie can be reached at vickie.turner@earthlink.net.

The club meets every Tuesday from 6:45-8:00pm in the children’s classrooms downstairs at CHBC. Meetings last for 8-10 weeks each semester plus 2 local camping trips per semester.

The High Adventure Clubs - Pioneer Club gives children ages 6-11 an opportunity to participate in a small group that focuses on spiritual growth, appreciation of God’s creation, work toward individual and group goals, and learn more about camping and the great outdoors. It enables children to grow as whole persons in Christ and enables adults to understand children and help them develop. Our theme verse is “Thy work is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path”. Psalms 119:105

While the primary focus is children, our club also reaches out to the families who join us on the camping trips. No other ministries at the church incorporate the Tri-prong approach of (1) individual badge work (2) small group badge work, scripture study and fun, and (3) larger High Adventure Club meeting 4 times per year for the outdoor experience of camping trips.
