CHBC Men’s Ministry

To encourage fellowship of men within and outside of the CHBC community and provide opportunity for spiritual growth through teaching from a biblical viewpoint.

Leaders

Mark Acuff <macuff@biblechurch.org> is the staff leader for this ministry. Others involved are Jim Eaker <jeaker@nc.rr.com>, Don Taylor <dtaylor@hpolicy.duke.edu>, and Jim Chenet <jimchenet@nc.rr.com>.

Because there are different venues of the ministry, time to meet varies according to the activity. There is a bible study that meets every Friday morning for all men interested in attending. The Men’s Breakfast occurs periodically, the Men’s Retreat is yearly, and various conferences and seminars are available throughout the year that may or may not be sponsored by CHBC. There are other opportunities that are not necessarily related to the Men’s Ministry, but where men can plug in, such as the Handyman Ministry and Habitat for Humanity.

There is a great need for men to recognize their full potential as God has created them. Within the venues of the CHBC Men’s ministry, it is a hope that men from all backgrounds and spiritual maturity levels will benefit and be challenged by other men to grow in Christ. It is important for other men to build friendships that produce spiritual, moral, mental, and physical support.

Because this ministry continues to change and grow, it is anticipated that there will be other ministry opportunities developed to continue the encouragement of biblical living for men. The leadership is always open to discussing new ideas and ministry possibilities. If you are interested in becoming a part of this ministry in any way, please contact one of the folks listed above. We would be happy to hear from you!
