Wedding requests must be submitted to the church office in writing no earlier than 9 months prior to the requested date. Please be advised that neither this policy nor your written request constitutes a contract. Requests must first be approved by a CHBC pastor and your deposit received. If your request is approved, we will provide you with the services of a Wedding Director. Weddings may not be scheduled on Saturday evenings after 7:00 PM. When a reception is held at the CHBC facility, it may run no longer than 3-1/2 hours from the scheduled start of the wedding.

We will be happy to provide space and time for a rehearsal the night before your wedding if this does not contradict a scheduled Bible Church event. If you would like to have your rehearsal dinner at the church, the Fireside Room can accommodate up to 60 guests and is available for an additional fee. Our goal is to have the building set up as it will be for your wedding day by rehearsal time. Be advised that all rehearsal guests must exit the building by 9:45 pm.

Decorating and set-up may begin the morning of the wedding, again depending on the Bible Church schedule. We will clear the auditorium stage except for the piano, which you may use in the ceremony. Chairs may not be moved. Decorations may not be fastened to walls, floors, or chairs. The only exception is for decorations pinned to the fabric of the chairs. Unity candles are allowed provided the furniture and floor are properly covered. All other candles will be approved on a case by case basis. Any damage incurred will be billed to you.

Flower girls may drop flower petals but not confetti. Bird seed (no rice) or bubbles may be used outside only. Smoking is not permitted within 30 feet of the church building. Animals are not allowed (releasing of doves, dog ring bearers, elephants, etc.).

A sound technician will be provided for your rehearsal and ceremony. We are not video professionals but will provide a video recording of your wedding (2 copies) for an additional fee. House lighting can be dimmed to your specifications, but special stage lighting (spot lights, etc.) are only available for an additional fee and must be arranged with the AV Supervisor.

If desired, we will provide reception space in the Fireside Room and lobby only. There are rectangular and round tables available for your use. Outside catering is allowed once the company has provided proof of liability insurance. If properly insured, they may use the kitchen for warming of food and food preparation only. If the caterer wishes to use the kitchen to cook the meal, there will be an additional fee and they must receive training on kitchen use from our Kitchen Committee. Wine may be served in moderation at any wedding, reception, or rehearsal dinner at the Bible Church with the advance approval of any of the CHBC pastors (normally, the pastor conducting the wedding). The approving pastor will be responsible for discussing with the family how and where the wine can be served to assure that it is used only in moderation.

Anything that is brought to the wedding (decorations, flowers, food, etc.) must leave the building within 2 hours after the wedding unless arrangements are made before the wedding date. If flowers are left for Sunday morning, this needs to be arranged beforehand with Ann Brookhart, Wedding Director.
