E-mail Print PDF

Rooms are available only Mon-Thurs 9am-9:00pm, Friday 9am-1pm and 7pm-10pm, Saturday 9AM-12:30PM. This includes set-up and clean-up time.  NOTE that the building can be reserved on Saturday afternoons until 4PM, but only if the request is received at least one week in advance and is based on staff availability.  There will be an extra $10 per hour fee to pay a staff person to stay on Saturdays past 12:30pm, with the additional charge starting at 12:30pm.

Food is NOT allowed for recitals.

The fees are as follows and are due one month before recital date.

Room Hourly Rate
Classroom $10/hr per room
Fireside $30/hr
Lobby $30/hr
Auditorium $60/hr; In addition, a consultation with our AV supervisor is usually necessary even if your event does not require AV services. (This is because of the AV equipment usually out on the stage, and is designed to make sure that your recital is as comfortable and successful as possible.)

Each hour more than two hours for the Fireside Room or Lobby will be billed at a rate of $40 per hour. The time includes set up and clean up. You are charged for not only the length of the event, but also the time it takes you to do set up and clean up. These rates do not include sound, recording, videotaping, or stage lighting (see below). No food or drinks are permitted in the Auditiorium or Fireside Room.

Rehearsal fees: Will be half of normal charges with no HVAC (heating and air conditioning), special lighting, or sound. All rehearsals are subject to cancellation if they conflict with CHBC events. All rehearsals must be scheduled. If you require a full rehearsal (with HVAC, lighting and AV) then the full rates will be charged.

Fireside Room
Recitals in the fireside room have two options for set up. First is piano to the far left corner as you enter. Second is piano in center of room with chairs on both sides. There will be a maximum of 65 chairs provided. You may be asked to stack chairs after the recital depending on the schedule of the day. If there is another recital immediately following yours, you will not have to stack chairs. Please click here for diagrams showing each possibility.

Auditorium
Recitals in the auditorium will have the piano near center stage. The stage is set up for Sunday morning worship. We will clear adequate space on the stage to accommodate your needs; we will not clear the stage entirely. We will have our house lights, and heat or A/C set for what we use on Sunday morning. Please do not move chairs, drums, monitors, music or mike stands etc on stage. At no time is food or drink permitted in the auditorium.

If you are planning an event in the Auditorium which will require A/V support we must have at least 3 weeks notice in order to be reasonably sure that we will have A/V staff available. If this is within that timeframe, please contact Crissie Cabrera ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) to discuss your A/V needs.

Audio Video charges in the Auditorium are as follows. Fees are based on the amount of time and the number of AV personnel required for an event. Each of the items shown in the table below may require a separate AV person dedicated to the task. For example, your event may be a concert that you want to have recorded on DVD. The concert will probably require one AV person to run sound and another to run video equipment bringing the cost to roughly $60 per hour. Sometimes, depending on the needs an event, it is possible for one person to accomplish more than one task. Example: you want the stage lights turned on for your concert – this can be done by either the sound person or video person, and the cost again is roughly $60 per hour. If however, you want lighting changes made during the concert, a third AV person will likely be needed bringing the cost to roughly $90 per hour.

Please note that the amount of time worked by AV personnel will be somewhat greater than the scheduled event time due to set-up and post-event work depending on the needs of the event.

Requests for Auditorium AV use should be submitted at least 3 weeks in advance of the event date. CHBC will provide trained AV personnel and an estimate of cost for AV use.
