Life Groups, you've got to love them.I wanted to briefly add my voice to the invitation for as many of you as possible to attend our Life Group leaders training seminar on Saturday February 18th, 9am at the Fireside room. Our time will not only help us come together around a common vision, but will also allow us to know each other
better.
For my part, I am excited to talk to you all about our vision to unify the mission, ethos, and goals of the Life Groups to a greater degree. We certainly want each group to develop its own unique personality, but we are also feeling the need to cultivate a more centralized vision for our Life Group ministry. That prospect might bring up questions for some of you,
so this will also be a time to interact with me on this point. I will also share my passion for your ministry as a Life Group leader, and how pivotal a role I think you play and will play in the future.
So, please do make it a priority to attend our time on the 18th. I think we will come away with a clearer picture of our Life Group mission and vision, hopefully an even deeper commitment to your call, and also a greater sense of God's delight in us as we see the gospel call us together
into community.
Every blessing,
Pastor Jay
More details....
Where else can you put together people who had not met before a couple of months ago to become a group, people who care about each other?
But groups don't just happen. There needs to be some organization. There is always the who, what, when, where, why and how. Sometimes things go smoothly. Sometimes they go off on a tangent. Sometimes there are hurt feelings. And what about the children?
These are a few of the things addressed in the training that will take place on February 18, 9-11am in the Fireside room. Besides the training there will be time to learn best practices from each group and ask questions about how to grow closer...to each other and to Jesus.
Come if you are a leader or find someone to take your place. Come if you are interested in starting a new group. We will bring coffee and bagels.
Just come!
