Welcoming Well

view_from_boothImagine you are attending the Bible Church for the first time. You are a newcomer, wondering if this Church is a good fit for you. You park your car, get out and then look at this very large building in front of you. Which door do you go in; where is the sanctuary; if you have children, what programs are there for them?
Imagine that the Bible Church is your home Church. You are comfortable here; you know where the coffee is; someone you know will talk to you when you walk in; you are entering into one of your comfort zones where you feel loved and wanted.

Now wonder: What are you doing to help the Newcomers enter into a comfort zone where they will feel loved and wanted.
There are several areas where we each can be involved in the experience of Welcoming Well.

First, we can all participate in Welcoming Well. Being a large church, it is often difficult to know who the newcomers are. But does that really matter? Shouldn't we all be greeting everyone (especially people we don't know) with a big smile and friendly hello? Take a few seconds to make a nametag. When you greet people you don't know, they will remember the friendly face and the name that goes with it.

Secondly, there are many opportunities to use your gifts and get involved in this important ministry.

Following are some opportunities for getting connected and helping others connect.
