Prayer Groups

Collegiate Moms In Touch

E-mail Print PDF

MITCollegiate Moms in Touch meets monthly from September through April usually on the second Saturday of the month from 8:30 until 9:30 am. A planning meeting is held in the summer. The time is structured by the International Moms in Touch organization begun by Fern Nichols. The website is www.momsintouch.org Attenders rotate the facilitation of the prayer time, and choose the scriptures to be read and prayed together. The format is consistent in offering praise, confession, and thanksgiving as a group. Then moms break into groups of 3 or smaller and pray for specific needs of our college age children. There is nothing sweeter than to have others praying for your children. Please consider joining us and receiving the blessing of prayer fellowship. For questions or to receive emails about the group meetings, call Julie Day at 929-4829 or Jan Hoyle 493-9279.

Next meeting: Saturday, February 6th from 8:30-9:30am

"Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift up your hands toward Him for the lives of your children..." Lamentations 2:19

Prayer After Worship

E-mail Print PDF

PrayerAWPrayer After Worship is an opportunity for anyone to receive prayer by simply going to the prayer area in the sanctuary after each service. Prayer ministers, who feel called by God, volunteer to listen and join in with those who want to pray. The ministers are supported by the elders but organized by Sharon Young on a quarterly basis. Do you feel called to help our congregation minister to each other and to visitors? If so, contact Sharon for more details (942-0699). Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you and joining in your prayers, no matter how seemingly insignificant they may be.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7).

Monday Night Missions Prayer Supper

E-mail Print PDF

Every Monday night at 6PM, we meet in the Fireside Room for a potluck supper and prayer for our Cross Cultural Missions ministries.  This meeting is open to any and all interested in supporting this area of our fellowship--our motto comes from William Carey who said "I will go, if you hold the rope," and that is what we do. When we have visits from our missionaries and those in our partnerships, we often hear of their ministry and needs.   Contact Jean or Hank Lesesne for more information.  (919-929-2578)

World Serious

The World Serious purpose is threefold:

  • To keep abreast of what God is doing worldwide
  • To hear firsthand reports from our missionaries
  • To pray for the missionaries and God's work throughout the world

Our desire is to please the Lord by obeying His plan for us to meet with Him in prayer for all that is done in His name. "Again , I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.  For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:19-20

We accomplish this by offering an alternative/additional meeting time for those individuals who cannot gather for the Monday night missions supper.  We meet the second Wednesday of months September through April from 12 -2pm.  Please join us Feb 10th, March 10th and April 14th. (2010)

Prayer Chain

With all prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance for all the saints. Eph 6:18

Lifting up prayers for the body of Christ

Do you have a prayer need?
Do you have a heart to pray for others?

The prayer chain is a quiet, exciting ministry for people of the Chapel Hill Bible Church. It is quiet because you participate in this ministry in the solitude of your own home or at your convenience. It is exciting because we see God at work, hearing and answering our prayers. Prayer Chain members receive prayer requests several times a week to pray about via email. There are no set number of times to pray- we just ask that you pray as the Lord lays them on your heart. We do ask that you keep the prayer requests confidential as most are about those in our church or their loved ones. We also share updates about things we have prayed about and how God has answered them. Prayer Requests are received via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and also by calling the church office at 919-408-0310. Randy Russell is the pastor who overseas the prayer chain. If you are interested in joining this ministry or have other questions about it, please email Pam Bell at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
