The first time that I was invited to a men's group I was skeptical. I didn't know how much it would really benefit me, and the sound of men meeting to fellowship just seemed strange. I thought it was going to be a waste of time for a bunch of guys to get together to talk and hang out, but my experience was the exact opposite.

An Opportunity for Men to Regain Focus on God

 I want to walk with God all the time, 24/7. But how much of my time do I spend intentionally focused on understanding God’s will for my life and giving thanks for all that he has done, to enable that round-the-clock walk? I’m an engineer, so I tend to think about things analytically. Consider some simple math. There are 8,760 hours in a year. If I calculate the amount of time I am intentionally focused on my faith – in church service on Sunday morning, in life group, and in private prayer – it adds up to about 250 hours per year. This means that only 3% of my time is spent learning and giving thanks. I fall short in tithing attention to my faith! Surely my Savior deserves a greater commitment from me. I need to make a change, but how do I do it?
