“My House with a Garden”

She was inspired by the paintings by Thomas Kinkade and came up with this house and a garden filled with her favorite flowers. This quilt shows her love of gardens.
Hong Ro has quilted for the last 30 years as a hobby. She is a self-taught quilter and has been a member of the Orange County Quilter’s guild for the last 5 years. Originally from Korea, she lived in Southern California since 1974. She moved to Carrboro to be near her daughter, Sarah Whang.
She has three children and 8 grandchildren.
