“Cranes”

The quilter has a love for cranes and wanted to depict this bird in her quilt. Hong Ro has quilted for the last 30 years as a hobby. She is a self-taught quilter and has been a member of the Orange County Quilter’s guild for the last 5 years. Originally from Korea, she lived in Southern California since 1974. She moved to Carrboro to be near her daughter, Sarah Whang.
She has three children and 8 grandchildren.
