“Redeeming
Rhapsody”
Barbi Dalton
Oil
The creek I have painted reminds me of a dance with Christ. As we grow
in Christ, we may be gently waltzing along and then hit the rocks with
a splash, due to our sinful nature or life circumstances. When we make
this splash or hit time of turmoil, the Lord is there with us through
the rhapsody. Christ redeems us by washing away our sins and renewing
our lives in Him.
Barbi Dalton - "Painting
to me is a way of worship and time of communication with my Lord Jesus
Christ. Bob, my husband and children Reeves, Casey and Kurt moved to
Chapel Hill, NC. 6 years ago. I studied Art at The University of Kansas, and
continued studies in Europe and various workshops throughout The United
States. I have been honored to paint several murals in various Churches
in Chicago, IL. and Raleigh, NC. My paintings are inspired by God and
colored by my vision and ability to transform an everyday scene into
a dynamic affirmation of life. I'm drawn by the strong interplay of light
and shadow. It invariably brings me to feel a Divine presence. The figure,
recently has captured my interest of depicting the everyday tribulations
of life. My watercolors and oil paintings are represented at Art Source
in Raleigh and The Orange County Open Studio Tour. I am an exhibiting
member of The Art Alliance Group of Raleigh."
