“For His
Pleasure”
Wayne Pollard
Photograph
There are many ways by which God draws us to Himself. And I suspect
that for some, myself included, God did not establish His foothold in
our hearts with stained-glass windows, hymns, leather-bound Bibles or
golden crosses.
Rather, for some of us, God's invisible qualities; His eternal and divine
nature; His unimaginable creativity; and His provisions have been made
manifest through His Creation.
Even as I harbored a hard heart in my youth, when finally opened my
eyes and took more than a casual glance at the heavens, my soul knew
I was without excuse. I could feel His presence. I could see the brush
strokes of His Creation and imagine His goodness. And when He finally
sealed me with His Blood and His Spirit, the Creator's Colors touched
me like never before.
There have been so many dives were I have settled on my knees on the
ocean floor far beneath the surface waves, and with tears in my eyes,
thanked Him for the beauty set before me.
Photography allows me to contemplate and re-live emotions captured with
light. It helps me fine-tune my sight. This work is for His Glory. I
hope it will bless you.
