Deborah Pollard
Watercolor
I have spent many hours sitting by our fish pond watching the blue,
green, and gold dart around, creating never-ending, constantly changing
images. How clear it is to me that the Lord intended for us to take some
time to enjoy all this beauty He created.
Deborah Hanna Pollard was born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia,
where
she learned to draw at an early age. Encouraged by very creative parents,
she continued making art through her teenage years, studying watercolor
with a local artist. She attended the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting.
Currently Deborah lives with her husband and three children in Hillsborough,
N.C. where she works from her home studio. Deborah also teaches drawing
and painting to students of all ages and has held art workshops for children
at various venues in Chapel Hill, and Durham areas.
