“Spirit Song”
Kathy Ammon
oil on canvas
This painting is from a new series that was started at the time I was
experiencing a renewal in my faith and searching for a deeper relationship
with God. I became inspired to look closer at the relationships people
form through religion, both with God and with others. This evolved into
my Spirit series which seeks to express Faith and Spirituality as an
integral component of life. The hymn, “Spirit Song” was the
inspiration for the title of this piece. It speaks directly to my thoughts
for this painting.
Spirit Song by John Wimber
O Let the Son of God enfold you with his spirit and his love.
Let him fill your heart and satisfy your soul. O let him have the things
that hold you,
And his Spirit like a dove wukk descend upon your life and make you
whole.
