What do you enjoy most about your job? I
love making technical things work on my computer; I love
aiding and abetting communication and getting things done
in our church; and I love the building and seeing people
use it and enjoy it.
Who is important in your life? I have a
wonderful husband, Byron (who directs the CHBC Orchestra)
and a son, Scott, who is 13 and a video game maniac.
What are your hobbies or interests? I enjoy
handwork of various kinds, including knitting, cross stitch,
and quilting. I also enjoy reading (novels, mainly) and I
am the 'cool mom' who has her own Nintendo
DS and Nintendo Wii!
What is your favorite book? (besides the
Bible) Peace
Like a River by Leif Enger is a tremendous glimpse into
a family motivated by love and faith. Outstanding ending, in
particular. I also read The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R.
Tolkien almost annually and have for the past 34 years. Heroism
and self-sacrifice for a bittersweet goal are some of the compelling
themes of that book.
What is your favorite movie? Comedy: Tootsie.
Drama: hhmm ... that's a toughie ... maybe Driving Miss Daisy,
but you might get a different answer depending on when you ask! For fun I enjoy ... baking, reading, playing
games (board games, card games, electronic games, balancing things
on my nose ...) |
